Le Shell Smith is currently a Secondary Mathematics Specialist at AMSTI-UAH. Prior to her current position, Le Shell was a secondary mathematics teacher. Le Shell has experience teaching seventh grade through AP Calculus. In 2000 and 2014, she was named teacher of the year for her district. She is an Alabama OGAP facilitator for Fractional and Proportional Reasoning. Le Shell develops and pilots professional learning to meet the needs of educators in our state. She serves as president of the Alabama Mathematics Leadership Alliance. She is also a member of the Alabama Council of Teacher of Mathematics, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.

Molly Latham is currently serving at a Secondary Math Specialist for AMSTI – UAH. Before serving as a specialist, Molly was a high school math teacher for Huntsville City Schools, where she taught subjects ranging from Algebra I and AP Statistics to coaching the Math Team. She was named Outstanding Secondary Education Student of the Year at UAB in 2015 and was awarded Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction in 2016. She is also a member of the Alabama Council of Teacher of Mathematics and National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.
